Students joining the Omega program must be:
The following requirements and regulations must be understood by the student and supported by the parents if the student is to participate in the Omega program:
Students who do not meet the requirements detailed above will be dropped from the program and placed into courses that meet the student's academic needs.
- Accepted into Lane Tech.
- All students accepted into Lane Tech are invited to join the Omega Istoria program.
- Students must submit their application form to join the program.
- Passionate about the Humanities.
- There is an expectation that students will focus on our different humanities course offerings (History, English, and the Arts).

- Organized, hard-working, knowledge seeking, a critical thinker, and socially conscientious (completes assignments on time, goes above and beyond, loves learning, loves to solve problems.).
The following requirements and regulations must be understood by the student and supported by the parents if the student is to participate in the Omega program:
- Omegas adhere to the tenets of the Omega Istoria Honor Code and the three-strike rule.
- Omegas take 6 Advanced Placement courses (4 in social science and 2 in English)
- Omegas attend 3/4 workshops per year on a student driven topic: like Climate change, Mental Health, Racial Equity.
- Omegas participate in our Omega Day of Service to give back to the community (it also satisfies the service learning graduation requirement)
- Omegas participate in our annual Omega Humanities Festival
