Omega Istoria is centered around a cross-curricular approach to learning, where teachers from English and Social Science classes work in tandem in order to support students in their learning goals. The teachers collaborate on projects and assignments that work across each of the content areas, in order to complement and enhance each class and the student's learning experience. Currently, the program has nine dedicated staff members across the History, Science, and English, departments. They are ready to help their students push themselves to their fullest potential through the study of the humanities.
Omega is specifically designed for students who LOVE HUMANITIES (art, literature, theater, history, music, math, science). Omega has a unique curriculum with a focus on the humanities, with a purposeful and continuous collaboration between History and English courses. For example, the novels and nonfiction that are read in their English courses will be directly aligned to the concepts in their history courses, which will serve to better prepare our students for their AP exam at the end of the year.

LTAC Omega Istoria Curriculum
Academic Center students are a year ahead in their Omega Classes. Freshmen students will take AP World History and H English 2 with sophomore Omegas and will share classes with that graduating class until their junior year. An LTAC student's senior year will be mostly electives, but they are encouraged to take at least one humanities class or be a teacher's assistant for an Omega teacher.
